Nothing communicates commitment to your most valuable team members like investing in their personal and professional leadership development. Ideal NGL participants demonstrate strong leadership potential and an equal desire to grow in their career.
Great leaders inspire results through others.
NGL provides Inspire members with cohort-based leadership development programs, designed for high-potential managers & directors in your IT organization: Technology Leadership and Leading Change.
CIO-designed, NGL: Technology Leadership brings together managers and high-potential leaders of Inspire members in a peer-based, 9 month, cohort-based virtual leadership experience designed to develop IT leadership talent. Technology Leadership begins with a leadership skills assessment and incorporates collaborative workshops, peer problem-solving, relationship-building and mentoring with a CIO.
Through this highly engaging cohort, you will equip yourself with the knowledge and tools needed to be an effective change leader or change agent. You will come away understanding what is involved in leading successful change initiatives in your organization, develop a positive approach to resistance, and recognize how your leadership behaviors can move all stakeholders in a new direction.
A 12-week intensive that equips technology leaders with the tools to be an effective change leader.
A kickoff call with the 25 participants, reviewing the workshop modules, the timeline, and expectations for completing the program.
Personal, offline preliminary and intersession work for the modules that focuses the participant’s efforts and enables them to best contribute to the conversations and activities.
4× three-hour workshop modules virtually delivered, and facilitator led, with multiple breakout activities, real-world problem-solving, and peer-to-peer discussion.
Hear from NGL graduates
The NGL program offered a unique experience in the IT Consulting Workshop to learn about and practice the seven different influencing bases.
Sharing experiences with others, with peers who are in the same boat like me, getting influenced by people who have 20-plus years experience, by mentors from NGL, getting deeper into marketing, focusing on the benefits, targeting your audience, all those things I have learned at NGL and I could transform it already into the business.
They created such a highly immersive environment for all of us to collaborate and participate and brainstorm ideas. Together we created great value than individual thoughts and contributions, and it was fun.
I really enjoy the relationships I've built, the time spent with my mentor, and of course the workshops.
Meeting and working with IT professionals like and unlike myself from different companies and business centers from all over the U.S. was an invaluable experience.
In several cases, [my mentor] prompted me to maybe think about things a little bit differently and maybe take a slightly different course of action than I had originally been intending to take.
My mentor Robert and I have had some great conversations, and he's been a great resource outside of our organization to bounce ideas off of and talk through challenges, especially in light of COVID and how technology has changed and where things have shifted. It's been really good.
My mentor was genuinely interested in me and in my career. I was able to bring topics to my mentor that I knew I would get honest unfiltered feedback. This feedback helped me make key decisions in my business.
I have been introduced to some of the great leaders who are on the same journey as me, and we are able to share our knowledge and opinions as well as expanding my professional network.
The IT Consulting Workshop really hammered home to me the four Cs of success: confidence, competence, commitment, and consistency.
The opportunity to meet and interact with the me's, if you will, across a broad spectrum of industries is invaluable. Our cohort group, and of course I'm biased in this way, was the absolute best. We met as often as we could, and it always yielded value.
I found the learning environment to be engaging and robust in several aspects, from the networking, the mentoring, and the various learning options.
It was said one of our first classes that the answer is in this room, and I fully believe that. This was especially helpful given the extraordinary circumstances of attending these workshops during a global pandemic. knowing that everyone was equally struggling, coping, learning new ways to connect was extremely helpful, and having a new network of people who share those experiences and learn from will be valuable now and in the future.
What I learned was in more complex and conflicting situations, it's really more than what meets the eye, and it pays off going the extra mile to learn about the motivations of all the different influencers and create a win-win situation. I think that's a way to solve some of the more complex problems that we have.
